Here's what's trending for August 18.

At least two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Northampton County over the weekend, including a police officer. Authorities said an officer collided with another vehicle on the one-thousand block of West Pennsylvania Avenue in Plainfield Township early Sunday morning. Their conditions remain unknown. The crash is being investigated.

Authorities say a truck with an oversized load knocked down wires in Lehigh County on Sunday. State Police say the truck brought down multiple wires hanging on Mountain Road in Washington Township. No injuries were reported, but officials say the road will remain closed until further notice.

Allentown police are asking for the public's held to find a missing woman with dementia. Authorities say Arabelliz Ovjio recently left her home without her caretaker's knowledge after moving to the city about a month ago. Ovijo is described as five-feet-tall and 87 pounds with white hair. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Allentown P-D.

Two Democrat state senators are pushing legislation that would prohibit law enforcement officers, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, from wearing masks or face coverings and hiding their identities during a detention or arrest. Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner applauds prohibiting the practice. "This is a terrible idea, to create confusion between law enforcement and criminals," Krasner says. He said there have been two cases this year of people pretending to be ICE agents while committing a crime. Senators Amanda Capelletti and Nikil Saval authored the proposal, which they call "No Secret Police".

New Jersey forecasters are keeping a close eye on Hurricane Erin as the storm continues to churn in the Atlantic. The hurricane -- which has reached Category Five status but has since been downgraded to Category Three -- is not expected to make landfall. It's threatening to stir up life-threatening surf and rip tide currents along the Jersey coast.

New Jersey Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Citattarelli says he can pull off an upset and beat Democrat candidate Mikie Sherrell in November. He said voters in the Garden State are hungry for change. "When it comes to New Jersey, we have always been a purple state when it comes to gubernatorial elections. But people have had it with these far-left radical extreme policies that Democrats have taken. I just don't understand. They're out of touch and totally arrogant with what's going on in the minds and hearts and souls of everyday New Jerseyans," Citattarelli says. A recent Fairleigh Dickinson University poll gives Sherrell an eight point lead over Citattarelli. The last Republican governor in New Jersey was Chris Christie.
