Republican Sen. Dave McCormick is pleased the ROAD To Housing Act unanimously passed through a Senate committee and now heads to the floor of the Senate. He says this topic at least is one both sides of the aisle can agree upon. "This is a combination of all sorts of inputs and provisions from different vendors that is based on the premise that housing prices are out of control, both to buy a home as well as rent," McCormick says. He says the legislation addresses the housing affordability crisis, expands affordable housing by increasing supply, and strengthens oversight and accountability.

Pennsylvania Police investigating the death of a child at Hersheypark say they found no evidence of wrongdoing. Police released their report on the accident yesterday after interviewing witnesses, park employees and first responders. They also found staff and employees at Hersheypark upheld safety standards in responding to the accident.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is joining a lawsuit against the Trump administration over its efforts to limit gender-affirming healthcare. The lawsuit filed by several Democratic-led states targets an Executive Order that aims to undermine support for what the federal government refers to as "gender ideology." It accuses the administration of exceeding federal authority and undermining state laws that require equal access to medical treatment. Those filing the suit say the US DOJ has subpoenaed doctors and clinics, threatening civil and criminal prosecution for providing gender-affirming care.
