Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says rain, and a lot of it, is probably on the way. "I think the worst of it is going to be this afternoon and the first part of tonight. I think after midnight the rain becomes much, much lighter in intensity," Lundberg says. Before things dry out tomorrow morning, we could end up with two-to-three inches of rain and that is prompting a Flood Watch from 2pm today until 6am tomorrow.
With our area under a flood watch from 2 this afternoon until 6 tomorrow morning, PennDOT is once again urging drivers to use caution. PennDOT spokesman Ron Young says drivers should never go around a barrier during flooding and says if your personal safety isn't enough of an incentive, doing so could hit you square in the wallet. "If you do get stuck, there's a possibility that if emergency responders have to rescue you, you could get penalties as well," Young says. He says driving through just a few inches of rain can be dangerous and he's urging you to remember the phrase 'turn around...don't drown.'

Atlantic City's new airshow has boosted the local economy by 15-million dollars. That's according to The Press of Atlantic City, which reports much of the money was generated by spending on hotel stays and food and beverages. The two-day Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival, held July 15th and 16th, replaced the Greater Atlantic City Chamber's airshow, which was scrapped last year due to financial and scheduling issues. The new airshow, which focuses more on civilian aerial acts, will return next May.
The Phillies have traded for Minnesota closer Jhoan Duran. Phillies president Dave Dombrowski says they were certainly looking for bullpen help and Duran provides that. "We felt that this was a deal in which we got a dominant closer for a tough price, two good players, but it's something that we think for where we are, it makes sense," Dombrowski says. The Phillies sent pitching prospect Mick Abel and minor league catcher Eduardo Tait to the Twins. ESPN ranked Tait and Abel as the Phillies fourth and sixth best prospects. Duran, who is under contract for another two seasons, is 6-4 with a 2.01 ERA and 16 saves this season.
