If you like your weather on the hot and humid side, Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says this is the week for you. "We have a Heat Advisory from 11am tomorrow until 8pm Wednesday, but Accu-Weather RealFeel temperatures will exceed 100 each of the next three afternoons," Lundberg says. He says the high temperatures today, tomorrow and Wednesday will all flirt with all-time record highs for those particular dates. Some relief is expected on Thursday.
Three people were injured over the weekend after a crash involving two buses in Monroe County. State Police say a converted school bus collided with a tour bus on I-380 South in Coolbaugh Township Saturday morning. None of the 40 passengers on the tour bus were injured, but authorities said three adults inside the converted school bus sustained serious injuries. The crash is being investigated.
The wave pool is open again at Hersheypark after the death of a child last week. Hershey Entertainment and Resorts closed the pool Friday out of respect for the family of the nine-year-old who died after an incident on Thursday. The incident remains under investigation.
On a podcast with Meghan McCain, the wife of Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman was asked if she'd support her husband if he chose to run for the White House. "That's really a question for him, but I certainly wouldn't be supportive of that," a giggling Gisele Fetterman told McCain. Fetterman has not indicated he has any interest in running for president.
Former Phillies star Dick Allen is now officially a Hall of Famer after being inducted into the Hall of Fame Sunday. His widow, Willa, spoke on her husband's behalf. "We are so thrilled to be here today to officially the celebrate the induction of Richard Anthony Allen into the National Baseball Hall of Fame," Mrs. Allen said at Sunday's induction. Dick Allen hit over .300 seven different seasons, won the Rookie of the Year with the Phillies in 1964, the MVP with the White Sox in 1972 and hit 351 career home runs, 204 of which came with the Phillies.
