The committee says it had requested information on the state's voter record rolls from the June primary election. State election officials have declined comment on the suit. Three years ago, the RNC successfully sued Mercer County for ballot cure letters from the 2021 election.

A Superior Court judge has approved a request by the New Jersey Attorney General's office to bar former Senator Bob Menendez from future public office or government employment in the state. Attorney General Matthew Platkin had requested in May that Menendez be permanently barred from ever holding any office or position of honor, trust or profit, under the state or any political subdivisions. The former senior senator began serving an eleven-year prison term last month for his conviction on federal bribery charges.

Ocean City's beaches are being rated the best in New Jersey. For the 12th year in a row, the Jersey Shore location topped a survey of beachgoers that was conducted by the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium. Margate came in second.
