The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch from 2pm today until 2am tomorrow. Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg explains why. He says there's at least a chance of thunderstorms almost every day this week.
A Super Bowl champion returned to his hometown to give back to the community this past weekend. Dozens of kids showed up in Nazareth on Saturday to participate in the free Community Day football clinic hosted by Jahan Dotson. While state investigators are ruling out a cybersecurity attack as a cause of the 9-1-1 glitches that happened across the state on Friday, PEMA Director Randy Padfield says they're still not sure what caused the problem. "It could be a software issue. It could be a hardware issue. What we know is that it doesn't appear to be as a result of a software update that was pushed. That's based on our communications with the NexGen 9-1-1 service provider," Padfield says. The state's contract provider, Comtech Telecommunications, says the full analysis of the cause will take several days to complete. The problems began Friday afternoon when some calls that came in weren't delivered.

This weekend marked the one-year anniversary of the attempted assassination of President Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, and members of the community gathered to pay tribute to the man who was killed in the attempt. Former Buffalo Township Fire Chief Corey Comperatore was shot to death at the rally last year. A crowd estimated at more than one thousand took part in the event called Corey's Cruise on Saturday. The event started with a motorcycle ride from Comperatore's high school, Freeport High School, and ended at No Offseason Sports in Russelton. Comperatore's family says they want to make the ride an annual event.
After beating San Diego 2-1 Sunday, the Phillies head into the All-Star break a half-game ahead of the Mets in the NL East. Catcher J.T. Realmuto says the four days off come at a good time. "In my opinion, the break usually helps a team like us. We've got a lot of guys who play every day and play a lot of innings and starting pitchers who throw a lot of innings. So I think the four days off usually seems to help a team like us. Hopefully we don't come out sluggish, but even if we do, in the long run, I think in the long run the break helps," Realmuto says. The Phils head into the break with a record of 55-41.
