At this point, it appears no charges will be filed after an apparent road rage incident ended up with one person dead in Allentown. Investigators say video surveillance from around 3:30 Sunday morning shows an altercation happened between drivers of an Audi and a Prius, with the driver of the Audi forcing the Prius to the curb in the area of 5th and Hamilton streets. It was then that the Audi driver began swinging a baseball bat at the driver, hitting the driver's side door. That prompted the Prius driver to pull out a gun and shoot and kill the man, who is only identified as a 35-year-old from Whitehall Township. The district attorney's office says the shooter was legally carrying a handgun and no charges have been filed against him.

Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says we may feel the effects of what's left of Tropical Storm Chantal today. "We're going to be on the northwest fringe of the old circulation of Chantal. Most of it is going by to our south and east. There could be a shower almost anytime today, that much I'm pretty convinced of. Will we get the heavier thunderstorm? I'm not convinced of that. I think the better chance is south and east of the Lehigh Valley," Lundberg says. The better chance for thunderstorms is tomorrow and Lundberg says those could deliver flooding downpours and damaging wind gusts.

Her bill would offer retention and recruitment bonuses that average $1,000 per year per teacher. McNeill said this could help fill the 3,000 vacant child care jobs in the state, offering spots for about 25,000 children. The bill passed 113-90. Now the Senate will debate the idea.
