Here's what's trending for June 30.

An Allentown Burger King employee had to be taken to the hospital over the weekend after they were allegedly stabbed by a teenage coworker. Authorities said the victim was stabbed in the throat at the Burger King on the 1900 block of South Fourth Street Saturday evening. The victim's condition is not known at this time. The suspect is identified as 18-year-old Brinley Capellan Lopez, who was also recently charged with obstruction of justice in connection to a shooting last month near William Allen High School. There's no word yet on what may have prompted the stabbing.

Several potential defense witnesses from Bryan Kohberger’s home state of Pennsylvania are in court today for a hearing on whether they must testify at Kohberger's trial for the stabbing deaths of four college students in Idaho. Kohberger’s trial on four counts of murder and one count of burglary is on track to begin Aug. 11 in Boise, Idaho. Today’s hearing in Stroudsburg concerns requests by Kohberger’s lawyers that a Monroe County judge order seven people to testify, although it’s not clear how the potential witnesses fit into the case.

Accu-Weather's Heather Zehr says what could be a stormy week begins today. "For today, I'd put the odds of a thunderstorm at about 45 percent for this afternoon, but then for tonight I'd say that goes up to about 70 percent for the first half of tonight," Zehr says. There's a chance for more heavy thunderstorms tomorrow and another thunderstorm is a possibility on Thursday.

Governor Josh Shapiro says President Trump's so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" will do a "staggering" amount of damage to Pennsylvania. In a post on social media, the Democratic governor said the GOP spending bill will take away health care and food assistance from hundreds-of-thousands in the commonwealth, and threaten 26-thousand jobs. The measure to advance the bill passed by a slim margin in the Senate Saturday night, 51-49, with two Republicans joining Democrats in voting against it. Shapiro said Republicans are trying to rush the bill through the chamber despite it being "harmful and unpopular."

Federal authorities in Florida say an Orlando man has been indicted in making online death threats against interim New Jersey U.S. Attorney Alina Habba. The man, identified as Salvatore Russotto, is charged with making threats to injure and kill a federal official. Court documents say Russotto made the threats last month in an online account that's registered to him. The threats included a statement claiming a slow and painful death for Habba. He faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.

Behind another brilliant outing from pitcher Ranger Suarez, the Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 2-1 Sunday. Manager Rob Thomson says this is as good as Suarez has ever been. "I think he's pitching better than I've ever seen him pitch. I really do. He's changing speeds. He's using all his pitches," Thomson says. Suarez has an ERA of 1.19 over his past ten starts. That's the best ten start stretch since Cliff Lee in 2011. For the season, Suarez is 7-2 with an ERA of 2.00.
