Authorities say nobody was injured when a vehicle crashed into a store in Lehigh County on Wednesday. Upper Saucon Township police say a car slammed into the front of the American Eagle in Promenade Saucon Valley in the afternoon. According to officers, the driver went up the curb and drove through the window. The crash is being investigated.

A man who was stabbed in Allentown on Wednesday is now facing charges. Police say 37-year-old Marcus White was stabbed in the arm by his girlfriend in self-defense while he was allegedly assaulting her, leaving a minor wound. Investigators said the victim had visible injuries. White was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic-related simple assault.

Good news from Mack Trucks in Lower Macungie Township. For the second time this year, Mack is launching a new truck line that will be assembled here. Earlier this year, Mack Trucks rolled out a new long-haul truck, the Pioneer and now comes word the Anthem will be built here, with production beginning in January 2026.

Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre will be in the national spotlight next month. The nation’s oldest operating drive-in theater, located in North Whitehall Township, is to be featured on ABC's "Good Morning America" on July 11th. Shankweiler's was America's second drive-in and the first in Pennsylvania.

"God answers all prayers and he answered ours today," Marissa Fitzgerald said after a Philadelphia jury convicted Miles Pfeffer of shooting and killing her husband, Temple University police Sergeant Christopher Fitzgerald. He was the son of ex-Allentown police Chief Joel Fitzgerald. "It's about law and order. I think it's about Christopher. I think it's a combination of things. It's a city that's tired of having our folks run around and be assaulted and killed," Fitzgerald said. Pfeffer was immediately sentenced to life in prison without parole. It took the jury less than 20 minutes to return the guilty verdict.

Three Mile Island could reopen in two years. Officials at the upcoming Crane Power Plant announced yesterday that nuclear power will return to the Unit One reactor as soon as 2027. The site of the worst commercial nuclear accident in U.S. history is being brought back to life under a 20-year agreement with Microsoft and Constellation Energy. Governor Josh Shapiro, who toured the plant yesterday, said the move will create jobs in Pennsylvania by bolstering energy production.

The Reading Fightin Phils are under new ownership. Fightin Phils owner Craig Stein announced yesterday that the team has been sold to Diamond Baseball Holdings. The group owns more than 40 Minor League Baseball teams, including five others in the Eastern League. Stein, who owned the Fightins for almost four decades, said he is confident DBH will "continue touching people's lives" not only at the ballpark, but also through charity work in the community.

The vice chairman of Japan's Nippon Steel is again promising major investment in the Mon Valley and Western Pennsylvania now that the merger with U.S. Steel is approved. Vice Chairman Takahiro Mori penned an open letter this week that has been published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. In the letter, Mori again promises to revitalize the region's steel industry, committing to a two-billion-dollar renovation at the Mon Valley Works. He also says there are plans to relocate Nippon's U.S. headquarters from Houston to Pittsburgh and to build a 500-million-dollar research and development center in the area.

A lifeguard is recovering after she was impaled by her beach umbrella on the Jersey Shore. Asbury Park beach officials say a wind gust blew the young woman off her lifeguard chair near Third Avenue in Asbury Park and onto the umbrella yesterday morning. The six-foot pole pierced through her left shoulder and came out her back, according to fire officials. First responders used a band saw to cut the umbrella into pieces before the lifeguard -- believed to be in her 20s and who was conscious and alert -- could be taken to the hospital.

With the third pick in Wednesday night's NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers picked Baylor guard VJ Edgecombe, who says he can't wait to get to work. "I'm super happy to be recognized by a great organization, great owners, great coaching staff, great front office. I'm just ready to go play now. I'm ready to go play some basketball," Edgecombe said. The 19-year-old Edgecombe averaged 15 points, five rebounds and three assists in his only season at Baylor.
