Here's what's trending for June 23.

Today is day two of what's expected to be a four-day heat wave. "We're near the record of 96 today and I think probably 96 again tomorrow and we could challenge the record of 98 and then on Wednesday the record is again 98, but I don't think we quite get there. There are a few more clouds that will show up and maybe even a late day thunderstorm, but I do think we're still in the middle 90s," says Accu-Weather's Heather Zehr. She says there's a chance the heat wave extends into Thursday before temperatures drop into the upper 70s on Friday.

With a heat wave expected this week, the City of Allentown is offering free ways for people to cool off. Both today and Tuesday, the city says all city pools will be open to city residents free of charge. Those are Cedar Beach, Irving, and Mack pools. Allentown is also offering two buildings where anyone can go inside to cool off in the air conditioning. That's the Allentown Public Library from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Lehigh Valley Active Life from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..

The Lehigh Valley's congressman gives the weekend bombings of three nuclear sites in Iran a thumbs up. Republican Ryan Mackenzie says, "President Trump's decisive actions have likely ended Iran's nuclear enrichment capabilities." Both Pennsylvania senators are also applauding President Trump's decision. Democrat John Fetterman said, "As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by President Trump. Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities," Fetterman said. Republican Dave McCormick says, "Iran must not have a nuclear weapon. This targeted attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities is the result of the Iranian regime’s failure to make a deal despite months of President Trump’s good faith efforts to negotiate."

Iran's foreign minister says his country "reserves all options" following President Trump decision to strike three nuclear facilities over the weekend. Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Dave McCormick says Iran could attack America in numerous ways. "We're in a moment of high alert, because Iran is the leader of terrorism across the world. It's been the supporter of all these terrorist proxies," McCormick says.

A weekend shooting has sent a male to the hospital. Allentown police were called to the 300 block of Hamilton Street around 4 o'clock Sunday morning and found one male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police say the victim said he was outside the Catch22 nightclub attempting to calm down a disturbance when he was shot. The victim is expected to survive.

Pennsylvania drivers can now order the state's new "Let Freedom Ring" license plates. The tags feature an image of the Liberty Bell and are meant to recognize Pennsylvania's prominent place in the founding of the nation. Officials say the plates are being rolled out prior to the celebration of America's 250th anniversary next year. More details are available at www.pa.gov.
