The battle over a proposed $935 million reconstruction of I-80 is heating up. St. Rep. Tarah Probst says she's not a fan of the project's plans or the way PennDOT is going about its business. "I don't know why they keeping bullying and trying to move forward instead of just sitting back, working with the municipalities and getting a project that's right," Probst says. In her opinion, that would include widening shoulders and taller bridges on routes 611 and 191, something Probst says would alleviate traffic on I-80. The proposed 3.5 mile project would overhaul of exits 303 through 307, passing through Stroud Township, the Borough of Stroudsburg, and the Borough of East Stroudsburg.

Nippon Steel promised it would invest $14 billion over 14 months. President Trump says the United Steelworkers Union supported his deal. The union opposed Nippon Steel's last bid.

Tomorrow, Governor Murphy is expected to sign into law a bill that would declare inciting a public brawl as a crime.

In the Phillies 2-0 win over Atlanta Tuesday night, Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper had to leave the game after being hit on the elbow with a 95 miles per hour fastball from Spencer Strider. After the game, Strider said he didn't mean to do it. "In the moment, I just assumed he had a guard on him and he was pissed because I hit him. Then, I saw him in pain. That sucked. I'm relieved that he's okay. He's one of the best players of this century and he needs to be on the field. It's best for the game," Strider said. X-rays were negative and Harper only sustained a bruise by the pitch.
