It's been a year since KISS played their final show, but Gene Simmons isn't done touring. On Wednesday (December 4), the bassist-singer announced a spring US tour with the Gene Simmons Band. The brief trek kicks off April 28 in Tallahassee, Florida and wraps up May 24 in Houston. In addition to Simmons, the band comprises guitarists Brent Woods (Wildside, Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil) and Zach Throne (Corey Taylor), as well as drummer Brian Tichy (Billy Idol, The Dead Daisies, Whitesnake).

Although KISS may have physically retired, the band will live on through avatar shows that are set to launch in 2027. Earlier this year it was revealed that Pophouse Entertainment, the Swedish company behind KISS' upcoming avatar shows and the ABBA Voyage tour, acquired the band's music catalog and rights to branding in a $300 million deal. Simmons has teased that the show "is going to be something that will blow your socks off, like nothing you’ve ever not seen,” but for now you can still see him play live in the flesh.
