Ozzy Osbourne may not be performing at all this year as he recovers from a series of health issues.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer announced on Thursday that he will take the entire year off from his "No More Tours 2" farewell tour so he can recover from the deleterious effects of his recent bout with pneumonia and a fall that sent him back to the ER in March.
The fall aggravated "years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery," said a press release.
As he rehabilitates, Ozzy will remain in Los Angeles "under doctor's care." The postponed tour dates will all be moved to 2020, but the former Black Sabbath front man has vowed to return.
"I can't believe I have to reschedule more tour dates," Ozzy said in a statement. "Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I'm grateful for the love and support I'm getting from, my family, my band, friends and fans, it's really what's keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day... I will fully recover... I will finish my tour... I will be back!"
This past year has been fraught for the Prince of Darkness, who had to postpone the last few dates of his U.S. tour in 2018 when he contracted a near-fatal staph infection in his thumb.
His scheduled return to the road this past January was postponed several times as he battled the flu in January. Before being hospitalized over concerns of pneumonia, Ozzy coughed so hard he broke a blood vessel in his eye.
And if his own health complications weren't difficult enough, guitarist Bernie Tormé (who joined Ozzy's band directly following Randy Rhoads' death) recently passed away after battled virulent double pneumonia.
